Jun Mo Website

Website for a martial arts organisation with a difference. Space Studios were involved with this organisation and asked me to develop the site alongside staff from Jun Mo.

They already had a site that had problems with inconsistencies between page design and an easy interface for updating the site. The easiest way to give consistency was by creating a set of well designed header graphics which we have set to randomly become chosen.

I chose to train them using Mambo Content Management System. In the first stages it was important that I set up the relevant database structure to represent this diverse organisation, they offer an ongoing programme of dance, martial arts, costume making, music and singing workshops.

Description:

  • Designing header graphics to give site a sense of design.
  • Explaining web concepts such as keywords, writing for the web, saving web graphics, assets structure, navigational/database structure
  • Giving overview of Mambo CMS and possibilities with extra components e.g. gallery
  • Set up of Mambo CMS on Linux server and installation of key components, gallery, forum
  • Development of top header graphics and buttons
  • Directing database programmer involved with Jun Mo to key links and resources associated with project and Mambo more specifically
  • Investigation of Mambo based shop solutions, PHPshop
