The Contemporary Fine Art Eton Website
Completed a very interesting gallery website for Nicholas Pritchard at the Contemporary Fine Art Gallery Eton.
Featuring an innovative approach to accessible galleries I think this is something special from myself.
Got to give a massive thanks to Terry Riley, a hugely patient and talented PHP programmer.

Mogwai website
Website for the internationally reowned band Mogwai from Scotland.
I developed designs from Duncan Macdonald using various database elements and carefully constructed HTML and CSS code. For more detailed explanation click to read more for this article.
This site was meant to enable the band and managers to more effectively upload content to the web. It also required a migration of servers and content from another CMS.
The previous site had included:
- photos
- videos
- audio
- news messages.
We took these and developed a few more features to extend the site.
This site has been a success with over 50000 users in the first month of its release. Planning the server requirements and bandwidth was a learning experience and required myself to set up an account using Plesk on a Media Temple virtual server in USA.
This is probably the most ambitious site I have built to date and has subsequently been integrated as a working practise with sites like Schtum and Spacestudios redesign |

New Year Rabbbi Screensaver
Using the characters from previous screensaver
animations produce a New Orleans flavoured animation. Needed to be set
to Glen Miller's "In the Mood for Love" and had to include a
big band.
By tackling the project in parts,
using symbols in Flash, I could animate each arm, each head, each figure
independently and give more attention to the whole animation. Tackling
the animation by thinking of the movements needed to play a musical instrument
was very interesting.

Retouching Photos
Over the past 5 years I have been involved with at least 2
centres where high quality scanning and printing were important to the users
and so I have had to understand how to operate digital photographic kit to a
high level of expertise.
Add to this an interest in learning
as much as possible
about this subject (retouching, colour enhancement, colour sync,
masking) and you can see that I have considerable expertise in digital
photographic workflows.
The recent developments in digital SLRs is also something I
have been following closely and more professional tools like the Photoshop
Camera RAW module are of particular interest to me at the moment.

Halkevi Outreach Video classes
Adaptation of 2 classes, LOCN basic camera skills and
another in Final Cut Pro editing, into a 7 week class in Turkish
Community Centre This led onto a community learning class which was for family learning and filmmaking and included under 12s and their parents. This class was kindly assisted by Engin Muslu who did a great job of relating the teaching in English to Turkish speakers and explaining to myself the importance of basic skills teaching.

Jun Mo Website
Website for a martial arts organisation with a difference. Space Studios
were involved with this organisation and asked me to develop the site alongside
staff from Jun Mo.
They already had a site that had problems with
inconsistencies between page design and an easy interface for updating the
site. The
easiest way to give consistency was by creating a set of well designed
header graphics which we have set to randomly become chosen.
I chose to train them using Mambo Content Management System.
In the first stages it was important that I set up the relevant database
structure to represent this diverse organisation, they offer an ongoing programme
of dance, martial arts, costume making, music and singing workshops.

HTML email campaigns
Creation of a styled email campaigns for 2 organisations. It was
important to keep the text brief, relevant and to make emails stand out
from other companies by using HTML to format the email.
As many
HTML emails can get complaints for usability this became of major
concern during this project. You can see the first email styled this
way here

Coleman Projects Space Website
Website for small projects based art gallery. It was important that a
content management system was put in place so that content could be more
easily edited.
The site will supplement any other advertising yet will
also need to act as an archive of past shows and as an
administrative tool in relation to mailing lists.
