DVD Authoring using DVD Studio Pro

Having built a few DVDs the learners wish to create a more customised disk and possibly move onto specific functions for a client e.g. a random script that works. The examples used is a multiple language DVD for a doctors surgery and health awareness campaign.

Agreed learning outcomes. At the end of the course, the learner should:

• Create a track from a set of stills set to a soundtrack
• Understand the naming and masking procedures for custom button creation in Photoshop
• Demonstrate ability in creating a custom DVD menu
• Compare a button area and a drop zone.
• Use the menu loop point to create an attractive motion menu.
• Create a set of subtitles for a video
• Know how to set language functions (linking buttons to audio/subtitles, setting languages on tracks/menus)
• Understand principles of advanced encoding techniques
