Adaptation of 2 classes, LOCN basic camera skills and
another in Final Cut Pro editing, into a 7 week class in Turkish
Community Centre This led onto a community learning class which was for family learning and filmmaking and included under 12s and their parents. This class was kindly assisted by Engin Muslu
who did a great job of relating the teaching in English to Turkish speakers
and explaining to myself the importance of basic skills teaching.
Description:
- It
was important that the camerawork part of the course was completed by the
end of the course, as this section was accredited.
- This
class was different from a normal course in that I took a lab of computers
and cameras out to another centre and delivered a class on behalf of the Film and Video Workshop for
another centre. This outreach work can be negotiated for your organisation
in the same way.
