Luxonline CSS based gallery

Luxonline CSS based gallery

Development of CSS based template for photo galleries and integration with iView Multimedia Pro software.

This was an attempt to automate processes that had been taking weeks and also introduce a more elegant and quicker loading gallery system than had been the previous design

To see the gallery you need to access the image galleries from a link on the left of the page  e.g. stills from …

Description:

  • Development an accessible CSS based design using semantic markup such as decorative graphics in CSS and gallery pictures as HTML
  • Adapting to the database fields used by this company to a flexible CSS solution, one that can hide less commonly used fields and show them in the future if needed by modifying external CSS file
  • Creating batch actions from Photoshop to be called from Iview Multimedia Pro. Needed to investigate structure off Iview templates and found out that they needed tables for images and relevant database tags.
  • Developed, alongside other member of staff, a complex grep based find and replace using Textwrangler and applescript for removing tables tags created by Iview
  • Refined CSS to display consistently across all browsers. Problems with border needing to be set to 0 for images in Mozilla based browsers, clearing floats in IE
