Intro to building a blogging website

  • RSS feeds and XML
  • Creating a podcast using www.odeo.com
  • Using itunes to claim podcasts and build an audioscrobbbler profile of your musical tastes that you listen to over at last.fm
  • Searching blogs
  • Adding video to your blog using youtube
  • Adding google analytics code to track your sites
  • Understanding google analytics interface and tracking a sites
  • Technorati a blog search engine and tag clouds
  • Adding custom code to blog such as delicious tag clouds, flickr galleries, odeo feed, google maps, amazon API.
  • Using custom templates and taking blogs further www.oswd.org and textpattern and other blogging systems
